IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDING UPDATE

NO MOBILE PHONES IN CHANGING ROOMS

Following an increase in the number of swimmers that are having photos/videos taken of them under/over changing cubicles, the Swim England National Safeguarding Team have asked for additional procedures to be put in place to protect our athletes. 

• Parents are not allowed in the changing village.
• Swimmers are not permitted to take any electronic devices into the changing village unless they are in their bags.
• Coaches and volunteers must keep their phones in their bags / pockets when they are walking through the changing village.
• We will have marshalls patrolling the changing areas - anyone found not following the rules will be reported to the National Safeguarding Team and asked to leave the centre immediately.
• We would add this is a criminal offence so we will have no alternative but to call the police if an incident occurs.
